What our clients say

preferred genetics

Jamavani has two impressive buffalo herds on the farm: the East African herd and the Kruger herd.

Kruger Buffalo Herd

The son of Cottondale’s Mopani

Our Kruger cows were bought from Frans Schutte’s Cottondale Game Ranch. The cows were acquired as three-in-one packages. The sire of the calves is RW 46″ Mopani, the former impressive Cottondale breeding bull.

The Jamavani breeding bull walking with our Kruger cows is RW 46⅛” Brolox, son of Cottondale’s Mopani.

Buffalo genetics from Thaba Tholo, Pymat, Kwanare, Lemara and Cottondale.

East African Buffalo Herd

The son of the legendary Gnu

The Jamavani East African RW 48⅝” breeding bull Winston originates from Pymat and is the son of the legendary Gnu, originating from Thaba Tholo.

Winston walks with cows acquired from the well-known Pymat game breeding farm situated in the Rooibokkraal district of Limpopo, in the Thabazimbi bushveld. These cows originally came from Thaba Tholo.

Preferred Genetics

From 51⅛” Rapella and 48¾” Magic

The Jamavani Matetsi sable genetics come from 51⅛” Rapella (Pieter Lamprecht’s Crown Game Breeders breeding bull) and 48¾” Magic (Pieter Ernst’s Bona Bona Game Breeders breeding bull).

The above-mentioned two very impressive bulls consistently produce outstanding progeny. They never disappoint. Our cows and heifers include some Rapella daughters, while our current fairly young breeding bulls are Raka, son of Magic, and Flare, grandson of Rapella. Concentrating on these two strong bloodlines should produce equally impressive offspring.
